Welcome to the Temperate Rain Forest Conservation page There are a wide number of humans affecting the Temperate Rain Forest's habitat in a negative way. One of the negative impacts affecting Temperate Rain Forests are trees being cut down and used as lumber. In the heart of British Columbia, there is many trees to cut down. Canada is importing two thirds of these trees to the USA. The positive impacts on the Temperate Rain Forest are Lumber Jacks planting more trees, after they have cut them down. They have also isolated certain parts of Temperate Rain Forests, due to endangered species. People are not allowed to go in the Temperate Rain Forest, or enter the special animal reserve.
One problem affecting the Temperate Rain Forest that humans need to be notified by is Coal Mining. Deep in the ground, people are mining, and releasing acid rain, which destroy trees and other valuable plants. Another problem directed toward the Temperate Rain Forest are Poachers. Poachers venture into the Temperate Rain Forest and trap thousands of animals, during an illegal time of year. Deer, elk, wolves. etc are being skinned for fur and food. People are highly fined if they go onto the animal reserve, but still do so just to hunt. This is a huge problem affecting lives of endangered species of animals.
There are solutions to these issues. First of all, instead of realeasing Sulfer Acid, we can realease other safe gasses that won't affect and pollute air, plants, and animals. We can not only save our plants and animals, but save money too, because Sulfer Acid is very expensive. Our solution to Poachers is very simple. All we must do is enforce are rules harder and isolate Temperate Rain Forests even more than we are currently. We can also start many conferences and educate more people on what is happening. If more people know, more people can help us stop these terrible things.
